Identify the controlling workplace rule

Minimum-wage research begins with the work location and employment category. A federal comparison table can identify a possible rate, but a current statute, wage order or administering city's notice may provide the controlling detail. We compare the dates, covered employers, tipped occupations and premium requirements before adding a choice to a calculator. A state government's older overview is not automatically preferred to a municipality's current enacted schedule for work covered by that local ordinance.

Use actual amounts and distinguish proposals

Our dated models use verified published figures. An annual indexing formula does not publish a future dollar amount by itself. When an amount has not been independently reconciled, the form names the particular official parameter that must be supplied and links the authority. Forecasts, ballot proposals and pending bills are not implemented as enacted wage law. A corrected notice supersedes its earlier figure: the source history should explain the change rather than silently retaining whichever amount appeared first.

Coverage assumptions remain visible beside the inputs. We do not award a tip credit from a worker's occupation name alone. Required notice, eligible duties, retained tips and lawful pooling are separate facts. Similar care applies to employer-size exceptions, higher local rates and overtime exemptions. An unsupported branch is identified as a limitation; adding more prose does not make that branch numerically modeled.

Review, automation and calculation tests

Software and AI assistance may organize source material, draft explanations and construct tests. The resulting claims must be reconciled against primary text and the delivered form. We do not treat generated copy as an authority. Checks cover worked arithmetic, rate boundaries, precision, unresolved inputs, metadata and browser behavior. Before publishing changes we compare the live release to its built output. Period-end checks flag a reviewed window nearing expiration so that a silent blank result cannot pass unnoticed.

Resolve reports with reproducible evidence

The corrections form accepts figure, rule, source and software reports. Please identify the page, work date, selected branch and anonymized expected result. We compare a proposed correction with the model's stated scope and current authority, reproduce defects and publish supported fixes. A receipt means the database accepted the report; it is not a promise of an immediate reply or agreement. We do not invent testimonials, professional credentials, review ratings or a named legal author. The source directory and methodology provide the review context.
